Dell is looking to launch a tablet with a difference that it will run the unreleased Windows 8 operating system in the tablet.
The current tablets currently available on the market tend to use a mobile-centric operating system, such as Apple's iOS or Google's Android. With this tablet, it is more powerful tablets that attempt to force a desktop-oriented operating system into a tablet form.It has not been welcome to the market currently.
Dell hopes that Microsoft's next-generation operating system, which the company has confirmed will run on the same ARM architecture as used in tablets featuring iOS and Android, will change all that and has inadvertantly offered a clue as to when will be launching the next version of its Windows platform.

According to a confidential roadmap leaked to Android Central, Dell is planning to launch a Windows 8 tablet in the first quarter of next year under the codename Peju. While details are not yet known, , and will launch at the same time as 5inch and 7inc Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablets under the code names Opus One and Silver Oak.Dell won't be going into the Windows tablet market cold with the Peju.
However it will be preceded by a 10in high-resolution tablet codenamed Rosemount. Unlike Peju, Rosemount will settle for the current Windows 7 release, and is tipped to launch soon.
